About PROJECT 200

Project 200 details the modification of a Toyota LandCruiser 200 twin-turbo diesel. The build is designed to setup the vehicle to produce a capable and durable outback tourer, which is also suitable for day-to-day suburban driving.

The series is written and filmed by me, Jamie Benaud from Australian Images Photography. I've always been interested in 4WDing, camping and touring around this beautiful country, and have been doing so for almost 30 years.

I bought my first 4WD -a Suzuki Sierra- at the age of 17, and since then have owned two Nissan Patrols followed by two Toyota Land Cruisers, all heavily modified to improve their durability, performance and off road capability. I have also fabricated trailers, including a complete offroad camper trailer, which you can find at diycamper.com.au.

I've always preferred to fit and sometimes fabricate my own accessories, and have learned over time what works and what doesn't
